Stomach Pain
Stomach pain is often referred as abdominal pain. Stomach pain occurs between the chest and pelvic regions of the body. Regarding severity, stomach pain can be dull, intermittent or sharp. Certain inflammation or diseases can affect the organ of the stomach, causing pain in the intestine. Virus, bacteria or parasite induced infections can also be persuasive for stomach pain.

Common Cause:
- Gastroenteritis
- Acid reflux
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Vomiting
Types of Stomach Pain:
A certain part of the stomach may experience organ issues, such as stomach ulcer. This can be defined as localized stomach pain
Diarrhea, constipation and other IBS symptoms may result in cramp like pain. There is no certain duration of these types of pain.
Chronic pain may happen due to severe conditions like appendicitis, kidney stone & infection etc.

Severity Markers:
- Pain for more than 24 hours
- Blood in stool and vomit
- High fever
- Swelling of the stomach
- Breathing problem
- Persistent nausea
Treatment:
Medications should be taken with prior prescription of the doctor, after diagnosing exact cause of pain. To avoid pain occurred by IBS symptoms, one should regularize a healthy diet, frequent water drinking, certain exercises and avoiding bigger meals.
